My story began with one beginner’s class my best friend invited me to nearly a decade ago. At the time I was a full-time working mom of three young children struggling to manage my weight, post-partum depression, and anxiety. I was surprised to feel a release of stress and body aches after just one class. I immediately began to immerse myself in the practice taking weekly classes, workshops and eventually going deeper into teacher trainings. By applying these lessons every day on and off that mat I continue to build the inner strength and wisdom to do more than just endure life but to create an inspired and healthy lifestyle.

A few years ago, I stopped practicing due to unexplained abdominal pains and several other symptoms. Finding no resolution through standard medicine, I began seeing a Naturopathic Doctor who recommended holistic nutrition to help get to the root cause of my symptoms. When a person exercises regularly and is not able to reach their health goals, it is typically due to the absence of a nutrition plan. In my case that turned out to be true, it not only helped to resolve my issues but has also improved my glucose and cholesterol levels.

I offer these holistic practices of yoga and nutrition because of their proven benefits to promote strength, flexibility, courage, optimal health, self-love and so much more. I provide quality yoga instruction in small groups and private classes which enables me to work closely with clients, and give personalized guidance and support in a safe and nurturing environment. CERTIFICATIONS - Shawntell is a RYT-500 certified by Yoga Alliance and Holistic Nutritionist certified by AFPA. She completed her 200 and 300-hour teacher trainings in Vinyasa Yoga at The Yoga Shop in 2013 and 2017, 30-hour Yin Yoga training at Raven’s Wing, and 25-hour Restorative Yoga Training at Yoga & Ayurveda Center. Her teachers include Kim Charbonneau, Annie Simard, Liza Dousson, and Steph Mitchell.
